Grand Nagus Zek returns to Deep Space Nine, and he wants Quark to be in charge of the negotiation with a race from the Gamma Quadrant that will secure the Ferengi presence in a new corner of the galaxy. A very knowledgeable Ferengi named Pel, who has impressed Quark with his ability to recite the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition from memory, assists Quark in his endeavor.
